Assessment Center B.U.M.P. Family Counselor

Position Summary: The B.U.M.P Family Counselor functions as a clinician for the B.U.M.P. program. This position provides individual, group and family counseling for adopted children and their families. Experience and knowledge in adoption area is beneficial. Responsible for report writing as specified by the State of Michigan Bureau of Regulatory Services.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education Preferred: Master’s Degree of Social Work or in a related field from an accredited college or university.

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university. If hired at Bachelor’s level, this position requires active pursuit of a Human Service graduate degree from an accredited college or university, completing a minimum of four graduate classes per year.

Experience Required: Two years related experience or one year at Eagle Village. Three years of related experience with a strong background in counseling adolescents and families preferred. Eligibility for LPC, CSW or ACSW preferred.

Good moral character and emotionally stable.

Valid Michigan driver’s license and good driving record required.
