Job Status: Full Time

Hours of Job: 40 hours/week (Weekends- Sat. & Sun. 7am-11pm & Wed/Thurs.)

Location of Job: Assessment Center (Male Side)

Position Summary:
The Youth Counselor provides direct supervision of the youth under the care. Helps to motivate residents and their families to resolve problems and to make positive changes. Above all they are to keep high-risk youth that present a wide variety of emotional needs, emotionally and physically safe in a high stress environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services area.

Education Required: High School diploma or GED.

Experience Required: One year of experience will be required when combined with High School or GED completion.

Good moral character and emotionally stable.

Valid Michigan driver’s license and good driving record required.
