The philosophy upon which Eagle Village is based comes from the seed planting parable found in the New Testament. This parable covers five important elements:

You reap what you sow.
"...a person reaps what they sow."
Galations 6:7

You must sow first, before the harvest.
"Give and it will be given to you"
Luke 6:38

It makes a difference where you sow.
"Some fell on the path;some fell on rocky places; other seed fell among thorns; still other seed fell on good soil."
Matthew 13:3-8

You will reap more than you sow.
"...a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."
Matthew 13:8

You control the harvest.
"Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously."
2 Corinthians 9:6-11
